Grammy nominated superstar Drake, whose 2010 debut “Thank Me Later” established the Canadian as one of the breakthrough artists of the year, marks his return with the highly anticipated release, on October 24th (his birthday), of his brand new Young Money/Cash Money album “Take Care”. The new album will feature contributions from the legendary Stevie Wonder. Speaking of the collaboration Drakes says : "He helped me out with a lot of the music, just came and sat with me, listened to my music, told me where I could add a couple things to make it more sonically appealing, and not only that but we actually are writing together, which is an incredible experience,"

“Headlines” the lead track from the new album hit the #2 spot on iTunes Main Music Chart, selling 139,274 copies in its first few days and was released via Drake’s website October’s Very Own on the evening before his amazing sold out OVO Festival, which drew a crowd of over 16,000 fans and featured performances by Stevie Wonder and The Weekend. “Headlines” was the second new song from Drake and followed the somber song “Marvin’s Room”, which was released in June spawned multiple remixes from artists including JoJo and Chris Brown.

Thank Me Later, the blockbuster debut that entered the Billboard chart at no. 1 and sold nearly 450,000 copies in its first week in June 2010, earned Drake multiple Grammy nominations and introduced an artist every bit as unique, and interesting as he was commercially successful. Rolling Stone had this to say: “Drake is in total command of a style that would have been hard to imagine dominating hip-hop a few years ago: He's subtle and rueful rather than loud and lively; emotionally transparent rather than thuggy… one of the wittiest, packing his songs with clever images and punch lines that land with a snap… even next to guests like Jay-Z, Young Jeezy, T.I. and Lil Wayne.”

Drake exploded onto the scene with the enormous success of his classic single “Best I Ever Had” which peaked at no.2 in the US charts, and since then there was no doubting that the 26 year old, born Aubrey Drake Graham, would become the hottest property in hip hop and that his debut album would be the most feverishly anticipated long player in years. Drake has already enjoyed Top 10 chart success in the UK as a key member of the Young Money collective whose single “Bedrock” was a huge hit in the UK. Solo chart success soon followed with the hit singles “Over” and the Kanye West produced “Find Your Love”. You will also have heard Drake’s distinctive flow on big singles from the likes of Jay-Z, Eminem, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Mary J Blige to name but a few.

Growing up in Toronto and Memphis, Drake first entered the world of entertainment as a teenager when he starred for 8 years on the hit teen show “Degrassi: The Next Generation”. Born into a musical family, his father drummed with Jerry Lee Lewis, and his uncle is the legendary bass player Larry Graham. He released his first mixtape, “Room For Improvement”, in 2006 and his second, “Comeback Season”, followed a year later but it was the release early last year of “So Far Gone”, widely considered one of the best albums of 2009 even though it’s only a mixtape at that stage, that really catapulted Drake to the forefront of the US music scene.
